About the role:

Vizcom is seeking a Design Engineer who thrives at the intersection of aesthetic sensitivity and technical precision. This person will work closely with the CEO and the design team to prototype and ship novel creative tooling experiences on the web—tools that delight industrial designers while maintaining engineering excellence.

In this role you’ll do:

• 40% Prototype the unheard-of: Turn Figma frames, motion studies, or half‑sketched ideas into live demos within hours. Throw them away, refine, or harden whatever best answers the design question.
• 40% Build & ship user-facing features: Craft high‑performance TypeScript/React views and canvases. Polish micro‑interactions, motion, and accessibility until they “disappear” into the experience.
• 15% Evolve the design system: Extend our component library, tokens, and animation primitives so the whole team moves fast and coherently.
• 5% Design partnership: Sit in crits, run designer play‑tests, and surface interaction insights that reshape the roadmap.

About you:

• Proficient in TypeScript and modern SPA frameworks (React, Solid, etc.)
• Experienced with WebGL or WebGPU, shaders, and custom visual effects
• Comfortable prototyping in Figma or creative-coding environments
• Strong visual instincts and attention to motion, spacing, and polish
• Systems thinker who simplifies complexity and refactors proactively
• Familiar with Three.js, React-Three-Fiber, or Babylon.js
