Since it became legal in 2016, they’ve helped fund nearly a billion dollars for thousands of startups - from breweries and rockets to potential Ebola cures.

Wefunder is a Public Benefit Corporation with a mission to revive entrepreneurship across America. Good design is core to how they deliver on that mission - they believe thoughtful UX and attention to detail can unlock capital for founders and make startup investing intuitive for everyone.

About the role:

As a Lead Designer, you’ll own the soul of Wefunder’s user experience. You’ll work directly with the CEO and collaborate closely with engineering to rethink and redesign the platform end-to-end. You’ll ship, test, iterate, and always advocate for clean, minimal design that solves real problems.

In this role you’ll be:
  • Redesign Wefunder’s entire product with a modern design system.
  • Create detailed Figma (or HTML) mockups and partner with engineers to bring them to life.
  • Own projects from idea to production, user feedback, and iteration.
  • Collaborate with support to identify and prioritize UX issues.
  • Lead product thinking and screen new feature suggestions.
  • Be the go-to resource for all things design across the company.

About you:
  • 5+ years of experience in UI/UX or product design.
  • Strong portfolio with clean, minimalist, user-focused design.
  • High attention to detail - you catch the 1px misalignments.
  • Will be a plus: experience coding HTML/CSS or submitting to git.
  • Excited to work in the office and collaborate with the team in SF
  • Comfortable talking to users and making data-informed design decisions.
