About the company:

Vitalize Care is solving the most pressing clinical operations problems for health systems. Our first product enables health systems to optimize how they schedule and deploy nursing staff to align with real-time patient demand.

Due to poor software, nursing leaders spend ~50% of their time managing nurse schedules and rely heavily on spreadsheets and pen-and-paper. As a result, staffing decisions are inefficient, and can come down to a combination of phone-tag and guesswork. The average nurse gets called in last minute via texts or calls, and hospitals are spending millions in labor spend trying to keep up.

In less than 10 months, Vitalize has signed enterprise contracts with 20+ hospitals, made $2.5M and has raised $7M from investors including Y Combinator, health system customers, and hospital executives around the country.

About the role:

We're hiring for a DevOps Engineer to build and maintain our infrastructure, deployment processes, and security systems. This role has a 70/30 split between devops responsibilities and backend development, working closely with our engineering team to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure operations.

In this role, you'll take ownership of our infrastructure and deployment pipeline, implementing best practices that will support hundreds of thousands of users across enterprise health systems.

Tech stack: Github CI/CD and deployment pipelines, AWS, Postgres (we use Supabase), Node.js (or Bun/Deno), Typescript, Auth systems (JWT, SSO/SAML), Redis

About you:

• 4+ years of experience DevOps (AWS) + backend (TS + Nodejs)
• Strong proficiency in Github CI/CD, deployment pipelines, AWS, Postgres (we use Supabase), Auth systems (JWT, SSO/SAML), and Redis.
• Experience with TypeScript and Node.js (or Bun/Deno).
• Experience at an early-stage startup is a huge plus.

Salary: $160-220k base (very flexible for the right candidate)
